Walking Distance (Brooklyn, NY, USA) is the band; Freebird feat. Jason Moran (Sunnyside Records) is their new album, one that deconstructs and reinterprets the virtuosic melodies of Charlie Parker to create vital, contemporary, and often humorous music.
